This week in Holly class.....

This week, Holly Class have continued to work on their confidence in the swimming pool. We have been practising travelling in the water using our arms and kicking our legs with lots of adult modelling and encouragement. 

In phonics we have been working on using core boards to identify different musical instruments and to describe the different sounds they can make. 

 

This week in Willow class.....

In Willow class we have been taking our learning outside the classroom, and one way we have been doing this is by exploring places that are special to different people. We have previously looked at items that you might find in a church, and this week we focused on what people do when visiting a mosque, how Muslims wash specific parts of their body like face, hands, arms, head and feet as a purification ritual before entering a time of prayer. We then explored how they use a prayer mat when praying and the learners enjoyed exploring this and having a go.

This week in Sycamore class.....

Sycamore have been exploring number and counting in a variety of sensory and hands on ways. We have enjoyed using foam to splat when counting down from 10 to 0.
