This week in the Discovery Pathway...

This week in Maple class.....
Maple Class had the most wonderful morning at “Into the Woods” Forest School! The children enjoyed making their own bread to toast over the fire, preparing delicious strawberry jam, exploring the woods, discovering the pond, and meeting Charlotte and Bob. There was plenty of fun with marshmallow toasting, singing in the hammocks, and playing on the tree swings. A fantastic morning was had by everyone!

This week in Cedar class.....
This week Cedar class have been very busy learning about people who help us. To support our learning, we had a very special visitor, a nurse from the St Austell Healthcare Practice. We had so much fun learning about how nurses help people in the community and hospitals. We explored all the different equipment a nurse will use daily. Some of the learners had a go on the SATS machine, listened to each other's hearts and some of the adults volunteered to let the nurse take their blood pressure taken. What a fun experience!
We also Celebrated V.E day with our friends in cherry class and maple class. We all enjoyed a special party filled with food, games and lots of fun.

This week in Cherry class.....
The last couple of weeks have been full of learning opportunities and fun in Cherry class. We celebrated the 81st anniversary of VE day with our fellow Discovery pathway learners; enjoyed a fantastic visit from Danielle who works for Sustainable Food, Cornwall – sharing how we feel about different foods, and we look forward to welcoming Danielle back to work with us again soon. Staff have enjoyed our fruity yoghurt pots and filled croissants as part of our Friday Brunch Club offerings. And we enjoyed another Communication session with Jordan from Sensory Classroom, supporting us with all the different ways we can communicate with each other.
