Welcome to Doubletrees School

Dear Parents/carers

Covid -19 Trust School position

Following the announcement by the Prime Minister last night, I want to provide an update on the Trust position. The guidance from the Government is very clear that unless it is absolutely essential, all children and adults should stay at home for the next three weeks.

Schools are providing a very limited service to support the children of key workers and the most vulnerable (at risk) over the next few weeks. Once the availability of staff across the Trust and partner agencies becomes sustainable and the Government alters guidance, schools plan to extend the support offer to include possible respite support.  Schools will be in touch directly with you about the availability of this support as and when this is available.

In the meantime , school staff will continue to make contact with you over the next few weeks to ensure that pupils and families feel supported, and are in contact with the school and have the opportunity to ask any questions.

Please could I remind you to look at the school/Trust websites for the most up to date accurate information about your school.  If you are still unclear please call the school - our admin team are working from home but you will be able to leave a message and these will be checked regularly.

Thank you for your understand and co-operation.

Yours sincerely

Guy Chappell

Executive Director - Special Partnership Trust

At Doubletrees we are passionate about the learning and progress of our pupils. Staff and governors have high aspirations for our children and young people through a broad and varied curriculum. We provide a high quality, relevant and balanced education for young people aged 2-19 who have severe, profound and complex learning difficulties.
As a school we are committed to celebrating all achievements, providing a wide range of rich meaningful and varied opportunities, preparing our pupils for adulthood and life beyond school. We aim to foster a love of learning, regardless of need; developing independence through inclusive and accessible learning. Focusing on individual, personal and academic achievement, through setting high expectations for all.
Please look around our website to find out more about the school and the opportunities we offer for our learners.

"A School that is committed to helping young people with learning disabilities. Where children with disabilities are treated as a child with a disability, NOT a disabled child. There is a difference"
