Join Our Local Governing Body as a Co-opted Governor!
Are you passionate about education and eager to make a difference in your community? Doubletrees School are seeking dedicated individuals to join our Local Governing Body.
Role: As a Co-opted Governor, you will:
- Contribute to the strategic direction of the school.
- Support and challenge the leadership team to ensure high standards of achievement.
- Bring your unique skills and perspectives to enhance our governance.
The main functions of the Local Governing Body is to focus on:
- Pupil and staff wellbeing.
- Quality of the school offer.
- Pupil progress.
- Position of the school in the local community.
We Are Looking For:
- Individuals with a passion for education and a commitment to our values.
- A willingness to attend meetings and participate in training.
Time Commitment:
- Attend approximately three meetings per year, each lasting around two hours (one per term).
- Attend one Governor Development Day session a year.
- Particulate in statutory safeguarding training.
- Carry out school monitoring visits (one per term).
