This week in the Exploration Pathway.....

This week in Holly class.....

In Holly, this week we have been working on lots of different mathematical skills including, measuring, colour sorting and patterns. We have been enjoying the kitchen weekly, baking and making our own space treats linked to our topic of up and beyond. The learners all helped to measure out the ingredients and enjoyed stirring the chocolate. We have been doing lots of sorting by colour using different objects and resources. In Holly, the learners have been copying different shape patterns using paints.

This week in Elm class.....

Our core word of the week was 'me' as we continue to study our core word curriculum. We listened to it in songs, used it in context and learnt to sign and use symbols for it. We found a dirty mirror and practised our independent skills of cleaning the mirror so we could see ourselves and say "Look at Me!"

This week in Willow class.....

In Willow class the learners have been exploring a range of different autumn items linking into our sensory story all about autumn. The learners have enjoyed handling these objects, investigating the textures and listening to the sounds they can make. They have also watched the leaves move in the wind with a little help from our fan.

This week in Sycamore class.....

We have been exploring SATPIN during phonics through Attention Autism and sensory exploration. The learners enjoyed  exploring the 'S' sound through the spider, spinner and sand!
