This week in the Discovery Pathway.....

This week in Cedar class.....
In English the children have enjoyed reading the Little Moon story and learning all about Space, we have been looking at the Solar System and what we might find if we flew to space.
We had our weekly Yoga lesson with Sam where the children learnt some brand new yoga poses, they did some great focusing on breathing and working in pairs.
In Ar,t we are focusing on making Christmas decorations for our upcoming Christmas Fayre, using a range of colourful materials and pine cones.

This week in Maple class.....
Maple Class had a fantastic time on their Bikeability trip at Par running track. The learners are becoming wonderfully independent—choosing their bikes, putting on their helmets and navigating the track with growing confidence. Afterwards, some of the group enjoyed a well-earned warm-up stop at the café.

This week in Cherry Class.....
Cherry class started the week with our visit from the Cornwall Hospitality Collective, learning how to make coffee, hot chocolate and scones – they will be back in December to help us learn serving skills. Two of our learners continued their school-based work experience, helping reception this time. We have been checking our knowledge of money so that we can serve everyone at the Christmas Fayre with confidence too! In R.E. we learned about Hinduism and their celebrations of life. Learners ended the week planting onions with Lisa and continuing with their Friday Brunch Club: making hot chocolates for paying customers, delivering them with a squirty cream and marshmallow flourish, and then completing the task by washing up and tidying away. Friday was completed by celebrating our Star Learner for her great sense of humour and confidence in class.
