This week in the Discovery Pathway.....

This week in Cedar class.....
In music this week, we have been learning to explore different sounds we can make using different instruments. This week we used the drum. We took turns to play and are really building our musical skills.

This week in Maple class.....
Maple Class took part in a Healthy Schools workshop focusing on the importance of sleep and making healthy drink choices.
Bex and Andrew discussed why sleep is essential for learning, behaviour and overall wellbeing. Maple class learnt that sleep helps the brain to concentrate, supports growth, and helps us to feel calm and ready for the day. We also talked about simple bedtime routines, such as having a regular bedtime and reducing screen time before sleep.
The workshop also explored healthy drink choices. We discussed why water and milk are good options and how sugary and energy drinks can affect teeth, mood and energy levels.
It was a superb, informative session, helping our learners to understand how small daily choices can support their health and wellbeing.

This week in Cherry class.....
Cherry class have made the most of the sunshine that has been peeking through and taken our learning outside. We have been working as a team, and applying our counting skills to the games we have enjoyed outside. In our final sessions with Lisa, we hoped our broad beans would sprout…and they did, so we have popped them in growing cups to see how they grow over the coming weeks! In PE, we completed our balancing lessons and are now working on expressing ourselves through dance, movement and making shapes with our bodies.
