This week in the Exploration Pathway...

This week in Willow class.....
This week, the learners in Willow class headed over to the polytunnel for a very special job – planting their growing vegetables into the ground!
These vegetables were first planted during our visit to The Lost Garden of Heligan before the Easter holidays, and it was wonderful to see how well they’ve grown. Learners carefully handles the plants, explored the soil, used gardening tools, explored using core board to communicate what they were doing and worked together to give their vegetables a new home where they can continue to grow and thrive.
This hands-on activity supporting learning around caring for the environment, responsibility, communication and teamwork – and there was lots of excitement seeing how far their plants have come already. We are looking forward to watching them grow over the coming weeks.

This week in Sycamore class.....
Sycamore class have been using a story massage to work on our emotional regulation and also learn about stories in a variety of ways. The learners are asked if they would like a massage, so they are beginning to learn about giving consent.

This week in Holly class....
We’ve had a wonderful week in Holly Class, making the most of the sunshine and taking our learning outdoors. The children have been exploring geometry and data handling through hands‑on activities outside. They’ve been busy sorting colours and recognising different shapes such as squares, circles and triangles. It’s been fantastic to see their confidence grow as they learn through sensory play.
