We are delighted to announce that Doubletrees School has been awarded the Trauma Informed Schools UK (TISUK) Award, recognising our commitment to creating a nurturing, inclusive and emotionally supportive environment where every child and young person can thrive.

The award follows a rigorous assessment process and celebrates the dedication of our staff in building positive relationships, promoting emotional wellbeing and ensuring that children feel safe, valued and ready to learn. The assessor described Doubletrees as a "warm, caring school with high aspirations" and highlighted the welcoming atmosphere that greets pupils each day.

A key strength identified during the assessment was the school's focus on psychological safety, with strong relationships evident throughout the school community. The report recognised how Trauma Informed practice is embedded across the school, with staff consistently demonstrating understanding, attunement and responsiveness to pupils' individual needs.

The assessment also praised the specialist support available to pupils, including the work of the ACE Team and our Trauma Informed Schools Champions, who help model effective strategies and approaches for colleagues across the school. Staff were recognised for understanding both the challenges pupils may face and their potential for growth, ensuring that every child is supported to achieve their very best.

In recommending Doubletrees School for the award, the assessor described the school as a "truly special place" where compassionate and skilled adults hold each child at the centre of everything they do. The report recognised how this commitment helps pupils live out our core values of Achieve, Belong, Communicate, Develop and Enjoy every day.

We are incredibly proud of this achievement and would like to thank our pupils, families, staff and wider school community for their continued support. This award reflects the collective effort of everyone who contributes to making Doubletrees School such a supportive and inspiring place to learn and grow.

Congratulations to all our staff on this fantastic achievement. 🎉
