Oak Class

Oak class explored the forest school and poly tunnel last week. We enjoyed filling and emptying containers, exploring capacity in maths and science in the sand pit, as well as planting our plants and watering them.  We will update you on how they grow!

Juniper Class

In Juniper Class, we have been working on discriminating instrumental sounds and have been using core boards to communicate this. We are learning to build sentences such as 'I hear the drum' through pointing to the symbols in a sequence.

We are reading stories through the use of colourful semantics symbols, matching key words to build a sentence in 1:1 reading opportunities. Learners are beginning to use their understanding of colour matching to enable them to match symbols with increased independence, whilst choosing from a selection to make sure the symbol is the correct one for the sentence they are building.
