This week in the Exploration Pathway.....

This week in the Orchard Class.....
We have been enjoying some multi-pathway learning. Little Orchard and Rowan class have been coming together on a Friday to have a joint assembly. We looked at photos taken over the week, and then enjoyed a bucket time session. The learners particularly enjoyed the anticipation, and the jumping of the spider and popping the bubbles!
This week in Elm class.....
Elm have found our first class pet to look after. This is 'Stick Insect' We haven't decided on a name for it yet. Learners have been looking up stick insects in books, spraying the foliage with water, looking for food in our environment and having a go at being gentle with our new friend. In Post 14 we love to explore and learn how to look after our environment and everything in it. We will be looking for a new home for Sticky in the post 14 garden or the poly tunnel area, so it can go home and see its friends. This will be better place than on the reception door where we found it!
This week in Willow class.....
Willow class have enjoyed exploring Cornwall in our geography topic. We identified our nearest beach on a map and then explored some of the different items that we might take to the beach. The learners enjoyed exploring a range of different beach items and engaging with them.
