This week in the Elm Class....

In Elm class, our core word of the week is 'me' as we continue to study our core word curriculum.

We listened to it in songs, used it in context and learnt to sign and use symbols for it.

We found a dirty mirror and practised our independent skills of cleaning the mirror so we could see ourselves and say "Look at Me!"

 

This week in Cherry class.....

Cherry class have enjoyed their first week back at school and have been very busy preparing for our Enterprise project – the Friday Brunch Club, where we will be taking orders and cooking for the staff of Doubletrees School who might want one of our snacks!

Two of our learners have begun their internal work experience where they will spend time working with adults around the school every week this half term; all learners will get a chance to do this over the course of the school year.

To celebrate Bonfire Night, we made chocolate apples.  YUM!

On Thursday, Cherry class explored winter herbs with Lisa, as part of their outdoor learning. And our Star Learner was celebrated for his participation in work experience!
