This week in Oak class.....

This week Oak class had so much fun exploring shapes through a sensory RISE session. Learners used tools to dig for shapes while adults modelled turn-taking, shape recognition and building basic patterns.

This week in Juniper class.....

We have been exploring concepts through our topic, Under the Sea. We have been counting treasure and copying arrangements to 5 and 10, as well as using key vocabulary such as 'full' and 'empty' when digging in the sand. This has also promoted our fine motor skills and co-ordination as part of our pre-writing skills. Learners have enjoyed tactile discrimination when sifting through multi-sensory beach themed trays, identifying preferences through persistent exploration.
