Accessibility Plan Statement

At Doubletrees School, we are committed to ensuring equality of opportunity and access for all members of our community, including learners, prospective learners, staff, governors, visitors, and families. We aim to treat everyone fairly and with respect, and take all reasonable steps to avoid placing any individual at a substantial disadvantage.

In line with the requirements of the Equality Act 2010 and in keeping with current 2025 guidance on inclusive practice, our Accessibility Policy and Accessibility Plan set out the school’s commitment to:

  • Eliminating barriers to learning and participation in every aspect of school life.

  • Promoting equality of opportunity for all, regardless of disability or additional needs.

  • Improving access to the physical environment, the curriculum, and to written and digital information.

  • Actively engaging with learners, their families, and external professionals to identify and address accessibility needs on an ongoing basis.

We recognise that accessibility is not just about physical access, but also includes how learning is delivered, how communication is managed, and how we adapt to individual needs and circumstances. We strive to anticipate, identify and respond to those needs in a timely and collaborative way.

Through our Accessibility Plan, we monitor and review our provision to ensure continuous improvement. This plan is reviewed annually and updated every three years, or sooner if required by legislation or changing needs within the school community.
