This week in Cherry class.....

Cherry class have been very busy! We enjoyed our beach trip on Monday with the other Discovery classes and on Wednesday we had the best time at our Bikeability session.  We incorporated some work related learning and maths in to our visit, by visiting Par track's cafe.  We selected items, worked out the money required to purchase our snacks and then worked out the change that we received back from our purchases. Our learning this week has included our Science focus on light, looking materials that are opaque, translucent and transparent – the butterflies we made were both opaque and translucent!

 

This week in Cedar class.....

Cedar class had great fun exploring instruments this week in their music lessons. Everyone enjoyed having a go at playing the violin, flute and saxophone.   We focussed on the sound of the instruments, and we worked together to make a harmony!

 

This week in Maple class.....

Maple Class had a Forest school session with Catherine from the Wildlife Trust. We talked about the life cycles of a toad, and then made some toad houses! We made a hole and filled it with lots of things a toad might like, including stones and twigs. 
All of Maple enjoyed this session and engaged superbly!
