On Friday 22^nd September Cherry and Maple classes welcomed Francis and Aran from 'Dufort Associates' to class. Francis runs a local business that designs and produces toys and other innovations, selling them on the international market. This includes kinder egg toy commissions and boomerangs! Aran is one of his designers. They came in to school and shared lots of their products with our learners, who also had the opportunity to play with them freely and to take some of them home. Everyone had lots of fun and Francis and Aran wanted to express their thanks for the opportunity to come and share their work with everyone. They had a great time too! This visit forms part of our statutory careers teaching, where all learners are offered encounters with employers and employees throughout the school year. In the run up to Christmas, there will also be an opportunity for some of our learners to visit the factory in Bodmin and experience the toys in production stage.
